How to Make an Impression With Blank Business Cards
Welcome back.Â
I saw an interesting article today, I think it was on Lifehacker, about why you should carry blank business cards. Yes completely blank cards!
Don’t dismiss it yet…It could make a very powerful impression on a potential client.
As you know, your business cards are a way to share how people can get in touch with you as well as making a statement about you or your company. Let’s take it up a notch…
The next time someone asks for your business card, what if you whipped out a blank one and then proceeded to write out the specific information asked for. This would be a unique and impressionable action as you personalize the card on the spot, showing that they are important for you to take this personal time with them. This could work especially well in areas where business cards are treated respect anyway.
You would probably argue that this same thing would work with your normal business cards as well (if there is room to write anything on them). And you are right! But doing it with a blank business card would be a more unique experience.
Sure it sounds good in theory, but would it work in the real world? It could definitely, just make sure you do this only with real 1-on-1 interactions. You’d look foolish and extremely unprofessional doing it 15 times in a row at a networking seminar.Â
What do you think?
Have a great day!
