Here is an interesting, inspired and I believe ultimately effective business card design idea which really stands out.

The really cool thing is it incorporates the companies’ core product into the design not just in image but in actual function too…

The Ask

OCB, the international rolling paper brand, wanted to renew their business cards for their marketing and sales team in France.

They asked for an innovative format that sets them apart from their competitors in the industry.  I think they got it too.

The Result

The design team say they were inspired by the nature of the product itself, cigarette rolling paper.  They then based the design on two aspects of the well known product.  The rolling paper itself and the packaging, the booklet container.

They created business cards that work just like the companies’ actual product.  They imitate the product while personalizing it.

They used flexible paper that allows the same accordion effect that the real rolling paper product produces, but they plasticized it to give it more strength for standing up and allow it to last longer.
