Why Are You Looking For Business Card Dimensions?
Hi and welcome back!
I see more and more people (about 700 this month) finding my site while looking for information about the dimensions of business cards. I’m just trying to get a better understanding of why you are looking for this.

Are you just curious about the standard?
I’ve mentioned this in a previous post but I’ll include it here for your benefit today: “… Internationally the 85.60 × 53.98 mm (3.370 × 2.125 in) size business cards is the most common. In the states, however, the common size is 3.5 × 2 in (89 × 51 mm) which is about the same size as a credit card. But if you follow master marketer Ted Nicholas’ advice, which I mentioned in an earlier letter, you would go for one slightly bigger.

Are you planning on designing and printing your own business cards.
This is doable with Microsoft Word, Open Office and other more specialized business card making software. It’s a viable (though I don’t recommend it) alternative to a professional design if your budget is really tight and you have a bit of time on your hands.
Are you researching new trends in business card design?
If you are you should check out the wild ones on Creative Bits. Some of them are pretty cool, but not many of them would be really effective business cards IMHO.
Is there some other reason your looking for the dimensions?
